All our wood is slow grown for strength and durability and is sourced from F. S.C. sustainable forests. We also use non-toxic wood preservative which is kind to insects and wildlife, so it will not kill worms or bugs in the compost, unlike tanalised (C C A) timber.

The New 'Compact' Wooden Compost Bin

The ‘Compact’ Wooden Modular Compost Bin is ideal very for small gardens and light use. No nails No screws and No holes to dig, meaning it can be fully assembled in just 4 minutes. Standing at almost 30 inches high, the compost bin has been specifically designed to eliminate back strain when lifting materials into it. It is suitable for garden and kitchen waste and features sliding panels for easy access. The closed sides prevent drying out and uneven composting and it is made out of solid wood, which is porous and insulating and sourced from managed forests.

More modules can be added to double or treble the capacity, thus saving you money. Includes free composting leaflet. The lid shown is an optional extra and can be purchased for £13.99

We’re delighted to be able to let you know that we now have a collection of unique, real, functioning wildlife habitats specifically designed for children and to attract beneficial insects to the garden for learning, study, or simply for the benefits of plant pollination and pest control.

The MiniBug Bug Box

The MiniBug Bug Box is a natural habitat for ladybirds and other beneficial insects. A mini version of the Larger Bug Box constructed from solid FSC birch logs and oak, larch, or similar timber for durability. These attractive dual chamber insect habitats can be hung from trees, pergolas, hanging brackets, or near ponds or scented plants. They provide over-wintering habitats for insects like Ladybirds (natural aphid predators) and a home for solitary bees (non-aggressive garden pollinators) and other beneficial insects during the summer. Offering a variety of potential habitats, the top section is made of variable sized canes and the lower of bored solid timber.

The MiniBug Solitary Bee House

Choose from three different sets: MiniBug Ladybird Tower, MiniBug Solitary Bee House and MiniBug Bug House.

We hope you’ll love these as much as we do!

We are pretty sure that Kim will do some of this ride. This summer she is planning her 100 mile ride in The Lancashire Loop that she missed out on last year after her knee operation. Lancashire has many hills as well as the occasional flats near the sea. Kim protests that the flat bits are boring!
