Saturday afternoon I went to a Tea Party to raise funds for Cystic Fibrosis. It was not an ordinary tea party. The Women’s Institute would have been proud of young Hayley and Tash. We sat in the garden of Hayley’s parent’s home on the moors and the views were brilliant on a hot sunny afternoon.
Everything was home made by the two schoolgirls, including the invitations with their chequered bows. Their mutual school friend Caroline was unfortunate enough to be diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis and they decided to do something to show their concern. Caroline was there too & looked very summery in her spotted dress. About 60 people came and rellies and siblings did their bit to help. We noticed that helping made the boys extremely hungry. Altogether they made a whopping +£1,100.00. Thank you Tash and Hayley.
PS It is to her remarkable credit that Caroline was made head girl of school for next year. PPS Suprise suprise! Simon from the office, won a bottle of whisky in the raffle. All in one delicious afternoon!
